McPherson & Newland Insurance

In 1942 the Agency was originally started by Henry Bellis out of his home located at 20 Bloomfield Ave. in Flemington, NJ.
In 1946 the Agency was purchased by Henry Lubsen and became known as The Lubsen Agency at the same location with his son Geoffrey joining the firm in 1972.
In February of 1979 James McPherson joined the agency. Jim had previously been employed by the Coss Agency in Clinton, NJ.
In 1980 Henry Lubson retired.
In 1982 the agency name was changed to Lubsen & McPherson Insurance Agency.
In 1990 Robert Newland joined the agency. Robert was formerly with the Prudential Insurance Company.
In January 1996 Jim McPherson bought Geoffrey Lubsen's interest in the business and the agency became known as McPherson Insurance Services.
In June of 2004 Robert Newland became a partner in the agency.
On January 1, 2006 the agency's name was changed once again to McPherson & Newland Insurance. The agency still remains in the original location at 20 Bloomfield Ave., Flemington, NJ.
